Writing for an income or for traffic and page views. Driving the many millions to come to your sites and their ads or to your Publishers and their ads /or promotions. How to do just that, with correct formatting.
Content? What Can I Write?
Basically I would suggest that you use Common Sense! If you have any, some of us do not have a lick of sense or any great abilities when we are first starting out and it shows, but this is one of the neat things about writing for a Pay Per Click Publisher vs a real world Publisher. They will accept almost anyone who will write and who will improve their writes as they learn and grow.
They cherish writers with stick-to-it-ness and those that will follow their "Guidelines". The Upside is you can do this in real time, and as soon as you learn from your mistakes you can then go back and correct them and/or improve upon them. All the while as you are learning and honing your new skill sets, you are still earning.
Pay Per Click Publishers crave content, the best that they can get their hands on and as much of it as they can get their hands on. Plus they almost always allow you the chance to improve your writes. Before the final denial and/or after the publishing of your writes.
These are the Publishers that you will want to sign up with, Triond.com wikinut.com are two of my first Publishers, along with Hubpages.com I now have three. When first you are starting out and especially if your skill level is on the lower end of the spectrum these sites are most helpful and forgiven small writing errors and grammatical mistakes.
Basically almost anything goes, at most of the many, many pay per click Publishers. Everything except the untypical subjects. Hate Crimes, Discrimination, Bashing, Slanderous writes, and the sexual deviant's favorite subjects, or anything that incites another to riot, or that may cause social or bodily harm to a group or individual.
Fabrications portrayed as the truth and anything that may fall under the new Homeland Security Act and most of all do not plagiarize the work of others.
Yes, just use some common sense, if you have any. If you don't, either some one will tell ya so, or you will not get published consistently and/or stay published for long.
Almost everything gets published, if it is Original content, fairly readable, and meets the Publishers Guidelines. They have them and you need to know what they are, if you are one of those who pushes the limitations of creativity, with these new fangled word switching programs shame on you. Cheaters never win in the long run.
Formatting an Article or a Write the Wikinut Way
Wikinut.com kind of does this formatting for us somewhat, with our submitting software.
*Page title - write a short, snappy headline for your page they give your Reader some info and/or examples.
*Page tags - words and phrases that describe your page, these are used to help attract readers, and the search engines used them as well to define and order up your writes.
*Moderator notes - optional information to help the moderator review your page, critical if you also publish elsewhere.
*Page summary - a concise description of your page, used when they list your page, these should be no more than four sentences long.
*Sections - you can use one or more sections to write your page content, and add images.
Good Structured or Formatted Articles are a Win, Win Scenario for Both Writers and Publishers Alike!
Good formatting makes the Articles you write more enjoyable to read and to promote. They will bring you repeated views and credibility, as an article writer.
There are many places to find the different types of layouts or structures for the endless types of writes. Today’s Pay Per Click Publisher provides you with these Formats, Layouts, and Templates.
But, I think the best way to learn is to just do it, try it, and then improve upon it if, you can or give it some hints of yourself and your personality. Say, maybe a signature sign off, or a branded Pen name, maybe even a logo, or water stamp.
Standard formatting provides your Reader with a better experience and it will make your articles easier for the search engines to crawl upon and order up.
Which in turn will bring more views and revenues, to you and your Publishers. Don't be afraid to promote your Publishers. Most will make you an affiliate by Hook or Crook better it is a known affiliation then not. For one pays you for your association and the other does not.
One way to earn with almost every Affiliation is tier structuring, most commonly known as pyramiding this is when a Site/ Publisher gives you profits either lifetime or for a set period of time or a percentage of the earnings or even a combination of all of these, from the new members that you directly or indirectly bring into their fold or the association.
This is usually done with a code provided for you, as you include it in your invitations and/or your links in your writes. This is a thing to give some serious thought about, promoting, these invite a friend will increase your income even if you slow down or stop writing for some time.
In my Blogs, well in some of them I have Links to both Triond.com and wikinut.com if my viewers/ readers click these links from my blog posts it sends them to these sites and their sign up area with my provided code. Which will give me credit if they sign up.
The viewer-ship at my blogs are currently low and I don't have a campaign set up for building the people under me Just Yet! But it is in the works and is set up to work as soon as I figure out how I want to go about promoting new memberships, for these two publishers I've been with for these last six months.
As it will greatly increase yours and mine revenues, when those you or I bring into the program begin to produce writes. When these new members start to produce, for the Program and themselves, they are in turn producing for you and I as well.
This brings me to formatting links within your sites, Blogs, and articles or just certain pictures that you have turned into a link. These links when used correctly and sensibly will bring your writes to life or make them interactive and/or at the very least not boring.
Choosing Good Titles and Subtitles Using Sections and Paragraphs
This is a learned skill and will come with time and research and when I say research I mean reading what others have written. If you're reading crappy work you will end up mimicking crappy work. But again a lot of well written pieces are well written crap.
Style vs Formatting.
The Title is liken to that notorious 140 caricature count at Twitter. You must make it interesting enough, but you must make it fast and short. It needs to be direct and lead the reader to want to continue to the write, and than to the end of the write.
Where you must hold the reader's very short attention span about three seconds if they lose interest or see something flashy or sparkling they might lose their interest quickly. You must lead them to the next portion of the formatting or to the the page's summary or the description sentences three to four of them at the most. Remember the readers' short span of attention, always!
The next best thing to do is to break the write down into paragraphs within the sections try to hold one train of thought within each section and then move to the next train of thought in the new section. All the while remembering your readers' short attention spans and their interests. You have to give them a reason to keep reading. Just like the carrot dangling on a pole and tied onto a string, right in front and just out of the horse's nose.
In this manner you'll keep your reader moving forward until they arrive at the end of your write. Even if you gave them very little information or too much information at one time to process. The Later being a better scenario, I think personally, for it just might inspire them to re-read the write.
Remember your writes are real time entities and when you improve them you breathe new life into them. They will start working all over again, so go back and improve or update your writes, for they are little money making machines. Kind of like the vendor who places a soda/pop or snack machine, you must restock and/or repair them every once and awhile.
